SRINAGAR: Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, announced on Wednesday that Eid prayers will not be held at Eidgah Srinagar due to the ground’s subpar condition.

Speaking to the media in Rajbagh, Andrabi said that this year, it is not feasible to offer ‘Namaz E Eid’ at Eidgah Srinagar due to the poor condition of the ground.

She added that efforts are underway to improve the ground’s condition, and Eid prayers will be held there in the near future.

Meanwhile, officials from Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board said that a renovation project for Eidgah Srinagar is in the works and is expected to commence soon—(KNO)
