Authorities have decided to lift curfew from major areas of the Valley on Sunday. However, restrictions will remain imposed in some volatile areas of Srinagar.
An official spokesperson told a local news agency, KNS that there will be no curfew on Sunday. “Restrictions will remain in some volatile areas. Amarnath yatra will be restored from Sunday also,” he said.
Meanwhile sources told KNS government has given clear instructions to security forces not to fire on protesters. “A meeting was held late last evening where CRPF higher ups were especially asked to show maximum restraint,” they added.
