Traffic authorities on Wednesday said that no fresh traffic will be allowed to ply on the Jammu-Srinagar highway on Thursday.

“Traffic movement was disrupted continuously for three days due to rain, shooting stones/landslides/snowfall on Jammu Srinagar NHW – 44. Therefore tomorrow on 24.01.2019, subject to fair weather/clearance of road only stranded vehicles shall be allowed,” a spokesman of the department said.

He said no movement of any type of vehicle shall be allowed from the opposite direction. The commuters are requested to avoid travelling during night hours.

Meanwhile, the traffic on historical Mughal road, and Srinagar-Sonamarg, Gumri remained closed due to the accumulation of snow.

People are requested to undertake a journey only after confirming the status of the road from below mentioned phone Nos.
