SRINAGAR: The authorities on Monday said that lockdown shall continue in Srinagar till 6 p.m. on Tuesday “as already notified.”

“I, District Magistrate, Srinagar, by virtue of powers vested in me, under the provisions contained in Section 144 CrPC, read with the Disaster Management Act and The Epidemic Diseases Act, do hereby order complete lockdown, including the closing of all commercial and other establishments, and activities, and prohibitions on public movement in the territorial jurisdiction or District Srinagar w.e.f 8 PM on 22nd July 2020 to 06 P.M. on July 28 2020,” reads the July 22 order by the Deputy Commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.

When contacted the deputy Commissioner Srinagar told news agency GNS that order stands, meaning thereby that lockdown shall continue till “6 p.m. on July 28”.
