SRINAGAR

In the backdrop of Tral chalo call by separatists, authorities have decided not to allow the march.

Talking to KNS Inspector General Police (IGP) Kashmir SJM Gillani said, “We aren’t allowing it (Tral chalo). There would restrictions in Tral and we will take care of it whether to stop it here (Srinagar) or there (Tral).”

However, he said, there won’t be any restrictions on the movement of people in Srinagar City.

Hurriyat Conference chairman, Syed Ali Geelani had on Tuesday appealed people to reach Tral on 17 April(Friday) to register their protest against the “cold blooded” murder of the civilians.

“Geelani sahib will address the people after the Friday congregational prayers at Tral. Geelani will himself lead the protests in Tral against the state terrorism,” a spokesman of the Hurriyat (G) had said in a statement.

Geelani in a statement has appealed the people of the nation to make the program a success.
