Authorities on Saturday placed Hurriyat (M) Conference Chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest while the one day Hurriyat workers session was barred and head office at Rajbagh office of the amalgam also sealed.
Soon after his house arrest, Mirwaiz took to his widely followed twitter handle and wrote: “One day #Hurriyat workers /delegate session barred! Put again under #HouseArrest! Rajbagh office of Hurriyat sealed! Not allowed any space or scope for any political activity! So much for practising honest democracy Governor sahab !”
The amalgam had scheduled a one-day workers convention at the head office.
