The Muttahida Majlis-e- Mashawarat (MMM) which is an amalgam of various separatist parties, met today and released their week long programme. As per the programme, there will be no strike in this week.
The MMM has instead asked people to intensify a campaign on the social networking site, Facebook and protest in mosques after Friday prayers.
The MMM says it will continue to protest till their demands are met. MMM was formed after Muhammad Afzal Guru was secretly hanged in Delhi’s Tihar jail on February 9, 2012. They are following a joint strategy and are demanding for the return of mortal remains of Muhammad Afzal Guru and Muhammad Maqbool Bhat, who was also hanged in Delhi Tihar jail in 1984.
