Reacting to a recent decision by State Administration Council on Jammu and Kashmir Bank to turn it into a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), Peoples Conference chief Sajad Lone on Sunday opposed “structural changes” to J&K Bank and PRC.

“The governor administration needs to restrict itself to basic governance. No structural changes pertaining to PRC or J K Bank are acceptable. Restrict your energies to what u r mandated to do— which incidentally u r not doing. Please don’t invent new problems,” Lone wrote on his twitter handle.

Earlier, protests against the decision were reported from many districts of the valley, especially in Srinagar city. The protestors belonging to different sectors have shown disapproval for the SAC decision, expressing concern that the decision would downgrade and put the prestigious institution on a par with other state public sector undertakings.
