SRINAGAR: A gunfight broke out between militants and government forces in Hanjin village in Rajpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwana district on Thursday late night.
Reports said that a joint team of Army, CRPF and Jammu, and Kashmir police launched a cordon and search operation in Hanjin area of Rajpora in Pulwama after having credible inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon forces triggering an encounter.
When last reports came intermittent firing was going on.
