Police during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday arrested 10 youth from Aripanthan village of Budgam district in central Kashmir.
Local sources said that Police barged into the residential houses and also thrashed the inmates during the last night raid.
They said that forces barged into several residential houses in Aripanthan and Hazarpora localities and picked up as many as 10 youth from their homes.

Reports quoting police officials said that ten persons were detained from Aripanthan. “They were sought in a number of stone-pelting cases. These are only chronic stone-pelters and trouble mongers,” he claimed.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed today on Thursday in the village against the arrest of the youth by the government forces.
