A man resident of UP committed suicide in Tral area of Awantipora in Pulwama district while a lady tried to end her life in Kupwara by consuming some poisonous substance at her home, a police statement said Wednesday evening.
“A 32 year old man Fakeer Ansari son of Usman Ansari resident of Khushinagar, UP consumed some poisonous substance at Tral. He expired while being shifted to the hospital. After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, a lady (name with held) resident of Kralpora consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was shifted to SHHS hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
Police has registered a case in this regard.
