A minor avalanche hits Shitkari area of Sonamarg, Ganderbal on Thursday resulting in the injuries of an employee of APCO Construction company private limited.
The injured was identified as Dharam Prakash Singh son of Narender Bahadur resident of Premgadh Danigunj Uttar Pradesh (A/P Electrician of APCO Tunnel construction).
Ganderbal police said that as soon as they received the information, a special team was constituted comprising of police parties from Police Station Sonamarg, Police Station Gund and Police Post Gagangeer rushed to the spot and rescued the trapped employee.
However, the injured employee was rescued and shifted to hospital for the treatment and is stable now, police said.
