SRINAGAR: The body of a non-local individual was recovered from the Jhelum River near the Panzinara area of Shalteng in the outskirts of Srinagar on Tuesday morning, two days after the incident, officials reported.
An official informed the news agency KNO that Mohammad Zubair (20), the son of Mohammad Nizam from Uttar Pradesh, had accidentally fallen into the Jhelum River near Panzinara on Sunday.
After extensive efforts, his body was successfully retrieved this morning.
“The body will be handed over to his legal heirs following the completion of medico-legal formalities,” the official stated. (KNO)
