SRINAGAR: A serving Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Army was found dead at FSC Rampur in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said the deceased was identified as Naib Subedar V Pratap Singh, a resident of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, who was posted at Lachhipora.
Senior officers reached the spot soon after the incident, and the body was taken for medico-legal formalities.
Proceedings under relevant sections have been initiated to ascertain the cause of death, officials said, adding that further investigation is underway. (GNS)
