SRINAGAR: Sopore Police apprehended a pickpocket within hours of committing the crime and successfully recovered the stolen amount.
Police Post Bus Stand Sopore received a written complaint that an amount of Rs 5,000 had been stolen from the complainant’s pocket at Main Market Sopore.
Upon this, Case FIR No. 193/2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered at Police Station Sopore, and investigation was initiated. Acting promptly, police teams identified and arrested the accused, identified as Imran Ahmad Teeli, a resident of Baramulla. The stolen cash of Rs 5,000 was recovered from his possession.
