SRINAGAR: Army Northern Command Commander, Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar, conducted a comprehensive review of operational readiness and security conditions in the hinterland during his visit to the Pir Panjal region on Thursday, marking the second day of his tour.

He also visited National Rifles formations and the Romeo Force Headquarters in Palma. Earlier, on the first day of his visit, he inspected Line of Control (LoC) structures in Rajouri and Poonch.

During his interactions with the troops, Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar not only assessed the overall situation along the LoC but also delved into the security dynamics of the hinterland.

In addition to the forward areas, he closely examined the security arrangements in the hinterland, in collaboration with White Knight Corps Commander Lieutenant General Naveen Sachdeva.

The Army Commander paid a visit to Rashtriya Rifles formations, which operate under the auspices of the Counter Insurgency Force (CIF)-Romeo. This marked Lieutenant General MV Suchindra Kumar’s inaugural visit to the Pir Panjal region after assuming the role of Army Commander, Northern Command.

During his interactions, he emphasized the imperative of enhanced coordination among various security agencies to foster stronger ties with the local populace and thwart the nefarious intentions of adversaries.(KNO)
