SRINAGAR: The wife of famous Kashmiri writer, satirist and poet Zareef Ahmad Zareef passed away on Saturday morning in Srinagar.
Taking to social networking site Facebook, the grandson of Zareef Ahmad Zareef wrote: “With intense grief and sorrow, we announce the sad departure of our grandmother, MrsZareef Ahmad Zareef, who left for heavenly abode today morning. InalilillahiWa Ina IlaihiRajioon.”
“Keeping in view the current pandemic, there will be no congregational FatehKhawani and mournings shall be observed for three days only. All are requested to pray for the Magfirah of the departed soul,” he wrote on Facebook.
People belonging to different walks of life including political leaders have expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of the wife of Zareef Ahmed Zareef and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
