Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba Saturday said that India is trying to deflect attention from the demonetization issue by blaming the outfit for the bank robbery.
“India knows it well that Lashkar-e-Toiba never indulges in such activities and it is only attempt to defame the militants and the movement. It is the job of Indian Army to rob banks, burn houses, resort to vandalism and loot anything that comes in their way in the houses.”
LeT Spokesperson, Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement to news agency CNS said that LeT will never indulge in acts like robbery.
“We strongly condemn this and we don’t have anything to do with it. Indian economy is in tatters. Number of people have died after the demonetization move and in a bid to divert the attention of people from the real issue, LeT is being blamed for the bank robbery,” he said.
