SRINAGAR: The government has highlighted the School Education Department’s lack of attention to the urgent need for verifying Postgraduate (PG) degrees obtained by Postgraduate Masters and Teachers in various disciplines during their service.

The department has issued directives on multiple occasions in the past.

However, the Human Resource Management Section of the department stated that in previous communications, it had requested information regarding Masters and Teachers who acquired their PG Degrees in various disciplines through regular, distance, and private modes during their service.

“Despite reminders and the urgency involved, the required information has not been provided and uploaded on the designated link until now, which has been viewed seriously by the authorities,” the communication stated.

Officials concerned in this matter further mentioned that they were once again directed to request directors from both regions to recognize the urgency of the issue and provide the necessary information by or before August 15, 2023.

“Additionally, the concerned individuals will be instructed to upload the details on the designated link by August 15. After this date, the link will be closed, and those concerned will have no basis to request inclusion in the seniority list or promotion,” the communication concluded. (KNO)
