Soura area  in Srinagar Tuesday observed a shutdown against the implementation of “controversial” National Food Security Act (NFSA) in the state.

All the shops and business establishments remained closed while the movement of traffic was affected.

The residents raised slogans against NFSA and also erected barricades on the road and staged a sit-in.

The protest was called off after Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Srinagar assured the residents to address their grievances.
