Complete shutdown is being observed in Nowgam area in the outskirts of Srinagar to mark the anniversary of two youth, who fell to the bullets of army, last year.
A procession was taken out by people to mark the first anniversary of the slain youth, Faisal Yusuf son of Muhammad Yusuf and Mehraj-u-din Dar son Ghulam Muhammad in Nowgam, on Tuesday.
Both, Faisal and Mehraj were killed after soldiers of Army’s 53 RR opened unprovoked fire on a Maruati Car at Chattergam on November 3, last year.
The incident had triggered anger and severe condemnation from all walks of life after which the army men involved in the firing incident were arrested.
