Omar Tweet

As Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief, Mehbooba Mufti, finally staked claim over government formation with J&K governor on Saturday, her arch rival, Omar Abdullah is angry!

Mehbooba thanked right wing Hindu nationalist, BJP, for its “unconditional support” as her deputy Dr Nirmal Singh extended letter of support to N N Vohra thus setting stage for a popular government in J&K after eleven weeks of political stalement.

However, the alliance partners kept every guessing as when the first woman CM of restive J&K will take of office and secrecy.

J&K is under governor rule since January 07, 2016 when father of Mehbooba Mufti and former CM, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, breathed his last in AIIMS, New Delhi. He headed PDP-BJP coalition government for ten months in J&K.

Moments after Mehbooba Mufti returned from Raj Bhawan in winter capital, tech savvy Omar wrote on micro blogging social networking site asking the alliance partners why they were not disclosing the date of Oath ceremony.

As reports said that the popular PDP-BJP government will not be office before April 04, the National Conference working president questioned the delay in oath taking ceremony.

Meanwhile, the CM designate PDP chief reached her Fairview residence at Gupkar around 11:30 AM on Sunday.
