SRINAGAR

Restrictions are in place on the movement of public in several areas of the old Srinagar city on the eve of PM Narindra Modi’s Srinagar visit on Thursday.

“We are not being allowed to move freely as large contingent of police and forces has been deployed in every nook and corner of our area,” Shafqat Ahmad, an old city resident told Kashmir Life over phone adding “there are curfew like restrictions.”

Barricades and rolls of concertina wires have been placed at various entry and exit points to the city.

Pertinently, Hurriyat (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has called for protests against Modi.
