SRINAGAR: Finally, the political class of Kashmir appears to be waking up to the truth as JKNC Vice President and candidate for the Baramulla LS seat, Omar Abdullah has accepted his defeat.
Taking to his social media handle X Omar congratulated jailed politician Engineer Rasheed who has been dominationg the poll counting trends since morning. “I think it’s time to accept the inevitable. Congratulations to Engineer Rashid for his victory in North Kashmir.”
He further added, “I don’t believe his victory will hasten his release from prison nor will the people of North Kashmir get the representation they have a right to but the voters have spoken and in a democracy that’s all that matters.”
