Chairing a comprehensive review meeting with Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Deputy Commissioners (DCs) via video conferencing, Abdullah directed officials to prioritise snow clearance on link roads and inner lanes, address water supply issues, and prevent waterlogging in low-lying areas.

The meeting, held at the Raabita Public Outreach Office, focused on assessing the restoration of essential services disrupted by the recent heavy snowfall. MLAs across party lines commended the swift response of the administration under Abdullah’s leadership, highlighting the government’s commitment during adverse weather conditions.

The Chief Minister urged officials to remain vigilant and responsive to public grievances, emphasising the need to identify gaps in service delivery and take immediate corrective actions. He also praised the dedication of Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, and employees working under challenging circumstances.

Deputy Commissioners provided updates on snow clearance operations, power and water supply restoration, and the overall status of critical services. Abdullah stressed the importance of smooth traffic movement on the National Highway, calling for enhanced coordination between the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Traffic Police, and District Administrations.

Looking ahead, the Chief Minister instructed departments to refine action plans based on recent experiences, ensuring minimal disruption during the upcoming snowfall. Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu, participated in the meeting virtually.
