MLA Langate, Engineer Rashid has accused state government of adopting double standards when it comes to Kashmir.
While addressing a public meet at Kultoora Langate Thursday, Rashid said that the way state government received VHP Chief Parveen Togadiya at Jammu airport and send him back has exposed the helplessness of Omar Abdullah government.
“A common layman can understand that state government should have arrested Parveen Togadya as he was already required by Rajori Police in an FIR lodged against him last year for his communal speech delivered against Muslims.”
“Omar Abdullah should have shown some responsibly and courage to allow the law to take its own course a sentence which from India state to Chief Minister has seen often using when it comes to hanging of Afzal Guru, arrest of Akbarudin Owaisi or slaping of PSA on minors in Kashmir,” Rashid added.
He further said, “It is strange that till recent past state government has been excusing that it had sent various police Parties to different parts of the country to arrest Togadya but he could not be traced out. Now when Togadya had dared to step in once more, why they did not act?
