Omar Abdullah, Nitin Gadkari Discuss Key Development Projects for Jammu and Kashmir

   

NEW DELHI: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Thursday to talk about ongoing road projects and future development plans in the region.

The meeting focused on improving road infrastructure, including important highway projects and better transport facilities across Jammu and Kashmir, Excelsior reported.

CM Abdullah stressed the need to speed up key projects, especially those that enhance connectivity in remote and border areas.

They discussed completing national highways, improving road access to tourist spots, and making logistics easier for local businesses.

Gadkari assured Abdullah of the central government’s support for developing Jammu and Kashmir. He highlighted how important infrastructure is for economic growth in the area and outlined plans for ongoing projects that will improve connectivity with the rest of the country.

The meeting ended positively, with both leaders agreeing to work together to speed up development projects that will improve the socio-economic situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
