SRINAGAR: Ahead of his swearing-in as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, CM-designate Omar Abdullah visited the Mazar-e-Anwar of “Sher-e-Kashmir” Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah in Srinagar to pay his respects.
Omar Abdullah offered floral tributes at the memorial of his grandfather, the legendary political leader and founder of the National Conference, Sheikh Abdullah.
Omar Abdullah’s gesture reflects his commitment to continuing the legacy of Sheikh Abdullah, affectionately known as “Sher-e-Kashmir” for his fearless leadership.
The swearing-in ceremony is expected to take place today, marking the beginning of Omar Abdullah’s new term as Chief Minister of the Union Territory. (KINS)
