Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, Omar Abdullah, was all praise for J&K Bank for its role in strengthening infrastructure, empowering people and pursuing growth of the state.

The chief minister was speaking at the inaugural function of ‘AMR’ – a first of its kind Mall-Multiplex-Hotel at Katra which is financed by the J&K Bank. The inauguration was done in presence of Davinder Singh Rana (National Conference Provincial President), and Prof Chaman Lal Gupta (MLA).

“J&K Bank is the only bank in the state which is connected to the roots. It’s our own bank and is serving the people at grass root level,” said the chief minister. While appreciating the bank for helping in creating infrastructure in different sectors of the state’s economy, he also pointed out that J&K Bank should broad base its schemes to suit the  variant needs of the weaker segments of the population.

The chief minister also suggested the bank to continue its reach to the unreached segments through more customized schemes so that unexplored potential available at the grass root level is realized to bring prosperity for the poor.

J&K Bank Executive President Parvez Ahmed stated: “We will relentlessly continue to aim our efforts towards the development of infrastructure and growth which will add social and economic value to the state.”

He also appreciated the entrepreneur for ensuring timely completion of the project.

The owner of AMR mall-multiplex-hotel, Baldev Sharma(MLA Reasi) thanked the Bank for timely financial support to the project. “The multiplex was completed in time due to the timely support of the bank,” he said. Notably, the multiplex will see big national and international brands first time under one roof in the state.
