Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned the killing of Assistant Sub Inspector of J&K Police Kafeel Ahmed in Sopore attack. He highlighted the sacrifice of duty bound Late Kafeel Ahmed and said that J&K Police personnel exhibited highest degree of bravery which has been the tradition of J&K Police Force.

In a condolence message to the bereaved family and Police Department, the Chief Minister has expressed grief over the killing of the police personnel and conveyed his solidarity to the bereaved family and the police force. He also prayed for peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile Minister of State for Industries & Commerce, Mr. Sajad Ahmad Kichloo, who also hold the Home portfolio, has condoled the death Kafeel Ahmad.

In a message of condolence to the family of late Kafeel, the Minister lauded the bravery of the cop who laid his life but not left the post. Mr. Kichloo hoped that God would give strength to the family to bear with the irreparable loss.

Earlier in the day, a wreath laying function was organised at Zonal Police Headquarters where senior officers prayed for the departed soul.
