Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Friday reviewed the overall security situation in valley in a high level meeting at his residence in Srinagar. Among other officials the meeting was also attended by MoS Home, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and Director General of Police, Ashok Prasad.
DGP briefed Omar regarding the security situation. According to sources, police and security officials were directed to continue to exercise restraint while dealing with people in the aftermath of hanging of Afzal Guru. They were asked to continue to remain vigilant to prevent the situation from going out of hand.
