Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah Thursday expressed his displeasure as the Foreign Secretary FS Level talks between India and Pakistan were delayed.

FS Level talks were slated for January 15, 2016 in Pakistan’s capital city of Islamabad. Kashmir was on table between the arch rival neighbours. The recent Pathankote attacks led to delay in the proposed talks.

In a multiple subject tweet Omar said, “No arrest of Masood Azhar; no FS talks tomorrow, no government in J&K. Too many noes.”

“Both countries are in contact to firm up the dates for the meeting of the two foreign secretaries,” Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah told the media in Islamabad. “Mutual consultations are on regarding the rescheduling of the talks.”

The nuclear neighbours of South Asia resumed their bilateral engagements when their Foreign Secretaries met in Bangkok last year. Thereafter, Indian PM, Narendra Modi visited Pakistan on his counterpart’s birthday.
