Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Monday slammed the government over the detention of a number of people ahead to PM Modi’s visit.
“Mufti Syed (sic) is right PM’s 7th Nov Srinagar rally will be historic – for the number of people arrested to make the rally possible,” Omar tweeted, in an apparent jibe at the current CM who on Sunday had said that PM Modi’s rally in Srinagar would be historic.
Pertinently, top separatist leaders, including Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chairman Yasin Malik have supported the ‘Srinagar million march’ called by Hurriyat (G) leader Syed Ali Geelani.
The march was called to counter PM Modi’s rally.
