As the suspense over the turf of the chief minister Omar Abdullah continues ahead of the forth coming state elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the NC’s Rajouri cadre offered Omar the seat- assuring Omar will win.
“We want Omar Sahib to contest from both Jammu and Kashmir regions so that message could be sent to the entire country that national conference is the just voice of the people of the both regions of the state. Besides contesting from Kashmir valley, Omar sahib should contest from Rajouri also so that befitting reply is given to the opponents,” NC’s district president Rajouri Bashir Ahmad Wani told KNS.
Wani who is a senior party veteran and close aid of NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah said that Omar Abdullah being the face of the national conference and the representative of the people of the state must give befitting reply to his opponents and should contest from Rajouri as well as from Kashmir valley. “Whole Jammu and Kashmir is the turf of Omar Sahib and we have officially conveyed our consent to the NC leadership that we have unanimously decided that Omar should contest from Jammu region.”
Wani said that he is confident enough that NC will sweep the coming elections and Omar Abdullah will register a remarkable victory from Rajouri.
