Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the Bhartiya Janta Party Wednesday said that though the PM’s rally was a success there is no doubt that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tried to sabotage the rally by asking police not to allow the thousands of participants enter the venue.
The party also accused Omar of murdering Haji Yousuf and asked Police chief to register a murder case against him.
According to KNS correspondent while talking to reporters here at BJP Headquarter, state vice president and Kashmir affairs in charge of BJP Ramesh Arrora said, “Though thousands of people attended the rally of Prime Minster, around 40 thousand of our participants were stopped by the police in different districts on the directions of Chief Minister. The fact is that the Omar tried to sabotage the PM’s rally but failed,” he said.
He alleged that it was Omar who in his Gupkar residence held a meeting with senior Police officers, in the intervening night of December 7 and 8 and directed them to stop supporters of BJP to join the rally.
Arora accused Omar of being involved in Haji Yousuf’s murder. “Though Omar termed the death of Yousf as natural death but now he himself asserted during an election rally in Uri that he had handed over the case of Yousuf to then IG Crime and he had died in custody which indicates that with hand in glow Yousuf was murdered with the directions of chief Minister,” he said and asked police Chief to lodge FIR against him,” he said.
Claiming that the BJP will win six seats from the Kashmir valley Arora said, “People have rejected the regional parties and want a change in the government. We will win approximately eight seats from the valley and will achieve the party’s 44 mission.”
He also appreciated the people of Jammu and Kashmir who despite the threats and poll boycott call cast their votes in large numbers.
Rejecting post poll alliance with any party Arrora said, “We don’t need a support from any party. The Bhartiya Janta party will form the government on its own. We believe that we will achieve the mission 44 and will form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir,” he claimed.
