Taking strong exception to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s criticism of Narendera Modi, BJP national executive member and former president of state unit of BJP Shamsher Singh said that National Conference and Congress are hitting left, right and the centre just to conceal their mis-governance and corruption.

“You will see Modi visiting Kashmir valley very soon. He has to take care of the entire country and is facing paucity of time. Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah could not lead the state towards progress. They have failed in every respect especially development,” the BJP senior leader said.

He accused Dr Farooq Abdullah of failing to prevent Pandits from migrating to Jammu in 1990s. “Dr Farooq should have shown his contribution in preventing that migration. No doubt we supported Pandits when they migrated to Jammu but only on humanitarian grounds,” Singh said.

When asked about any soft chemistry between BJP-PDP as is alleged by NC and the Congress, the former J&K BJP president said: “We have no relation with the PDP and it is just to avoid attention of public and in order to conceal their failures that NC-Congress are making such remarks. We fought elections in two seats of Jammu on our own and we will win them both. Azad has sensed his defeat that is why he is blaming PDP for it,” Singh remarked, adding that it was Omar who did not waste any time to become a minister in BJP led NDA government in the centre.

He asked the chief minister Omar Abdullah to show any milestones he has achieved in last five and a half years of government. “We have not seen any planning models in last five and half years of this government. Now why they are always seen bashing Modi because they (NC-Congress) fear accountability from him. They know when Modi will become Prime Minister of the country, he will not spare the corrupt,” Singh added. (KNS)
