According to Inspector General of Police Traffic, the traffic on Srinagar-Jammu Highway HW-1A, shall remain suspended on May 21, 2015 (Thursday) in connection with repairs of the damaged road stretches at Magarkote and Peerah.
“All the commuters/transporters are requested not to take up journey on the said road on above said day/date as movement of any type of vehicle, either from Jammu or Srinagar, shall not be allowed,” he said and added the closure of traffic movement has become inevitable to enable the maintenance agencies to take up maintenance and widening of the road at the above said two patches.
