On the occasion of world Theatre Day, a Srinagar based cultural activist NGO is starting a three-day theatre festival in renovated Tagore Hall.
Addressing media here, noted theatre personality and film maker, Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan said, “on the occasion of world theatre day, our organization shall be holding a three day theatre festival in Srinagar.”
Known theatre personality and Bollywood actor, Vijay Raaz, will inagurate the festival..
“At least eighteen theatre group will stage plays in Tagore Hall from tomorrow,” Khan, who heads Actors’ Creative Theatre (ACT), said. The programs shall start at 3 PM and would come to end around 7 in the evening, he said.
Khan said that the ACT, a non-profit organization, has been promoting theatre activities young talent in J&K from last forty years.
