SRINAGAR: One person was killed and another injured after the car they were travelling in rolled down into a deep gorge in Doda on Monday afternoon.
An official said that a car skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge on the Khilani Marmat link road near the village of Dugga in Doda.
“The accident resulted in the death of one person, Roshan Lal, son of Dina Nath, from Marmat, and injuries to another identified as Tanveer Ahmad, son of Fayaz Ullah, also from Marmat,” the official said.
“The injured person has been taken to GMC Jammu for treatment,” added the official.
Confirming the incident, a police official said that they have taken cognizance of the mishap for further investigations.
