SRINAGAR: A road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Thursday evening resulted in one fatality and four injuries, officials said.
The incident occurred in Shindhara village when a pickup van veered off the road and plunged into a gorge.
The injured individuals were promptly evacuated to the district hospital in Poonch for further medical attention.
Dr Nusrat Bhatti, Superintendent of the District Hospital Poonch, informed the media that four injured persons were admitted to the hospital. Among them, one individual with severe chest trauma was referred to Government Medical College Rajouri for advanced treatment.”The district administration has provided Rs 5,000 to each injured person and Rs 10,000 to the family of the deceased.”
