SRINAGAR: A soldier lost his life while three others were injured in a road accident in Torna Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.
A senior police officer said that an Army vehicle was involved in an accident in Torna Uri, resulting in the death of soldier Hav Mohd Sagir on the spot, while the other three soldiers sustained injuries.
He said that the injured soldiers were evacuated by helicopter to 92 Base Srinagar for treatment, while the deceased’s body has been taken to the hospital for legal and medical procedures.
A case has been registered in this regard, and an investigation has been initiated, he added. (KS)
