SRINAGAR: One person died and two others were injured on Friday when the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by a shooting stone along the Mughal Road, which connects Kashmir Valley’s Shopian district with the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
Quoting officials, GNS reported that the vehicle, was travelling from Kashmir Valley to Bufliaz and came under the shooting stone at Chatta Pani in the Surankote area of Poonch district. “Three persons in the vehicle were injured and were later shifted to a hospital, where one of them, identified as Shahzad Ahmad, son of Saif Ullah of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri, succumbed to his injuries. The two others, Mohammad Afzal, son of Shah Mohammad, and Lal Hussain, son of Shab Din, also residents of Gambir Mughlan Rajouri, are undergoing treatment, they added.”
A police officer said that a case has been registered in this regard.
