SRINAGAR: Police in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, have arrested an accused in connection with the pasting of anti-national and provocative posters at a public place.
According to police, an FIR (No. 259/2026) has been registered at Police Station Handwara under relevant provisions of law.
During the investigation, the suspected involvement of OGWs and other individuals in the alleged conspiracy came to light, police said, adding that efforts were underway to identify and apprehend other persons linked to the case.
Further investigation is in progress to establish the individual roles of those involved and ascertain the full extent of the alleged network.
Handwara Police reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace, public order and security, and urged people to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
