At least twenty people were injured when two vehicles collided head-on on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway in Rajouri district on Monday morning.

Two over speeding buses coming from opposite directions collided head-on near the gate of Doodhadari temple of the district this morning, reports claimed

All the injured have been removed to district hospital Rajouri where they are going under treatment, reports said.

In another accident, one person was killed on the spot while as another sustained serious injury after the motorbike they were riding skidded on the slippery road at Warpora area of Sopore town, Baramulla district on Monday morning.

However, the both were rushed to Sub District Hospital Sopore where doctors declared one brought dead while as another was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

The injured has been identified as Basharat Ahmed Mir Son of Nazir Ahmed Mir, a resident of Dangerpora.

Five passengers were also injured when a passenger vehicle turned turtle near a petrol station in Chadoora area of district Budgam on Monday.

The taxi was on way to Srinagar when it met with the accident, injuring five passengers.

All the injured were rushed to a hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.
