SRINAGAR: One person was killed and several others were injured after a boulder struck a passenger bus in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Monday, officials said.
The incident occurred near Raggi Nallah on the Jammu–Kishtwar National Highway at around 9.30 a.m., amid torrential rainfall.
Officials said rescuers rushed to the spot and evacuated passengers trapped inside the damaged bus. One of the injured passengers succumbed to injuries while being shifted to hospital.
The injured were taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Their condition was not immediately known.
