SRINAGAR: One person was killed and several others were injured in twin road mishaps at Doda and Banihal areas of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
During a road accident at Riela area of Bhalessa Doda, one person was killed whose identify was disclosed as Ramesh Kumar, S/o Desh Raj. His body was later shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Gandoh for medico-legal formalities, officials said.
The driver of the vehicle involved is still on run and being traced, they said.
In another road mishap incident, a tata mobile vehicle rolled down into deep gorge at Banihal area leaving 4-5 people feared injured, who were immediately shifted to Banihal hospital by volunteers.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of both the mishaps and registered seperate cases in this regard.
