One killed, two injured in accident in Ganderbal

One killed and two others including a tourist lady were injured in a road accident in Benhama Lar area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on late Saturday evening, police said.

An official said the load carrier bearing registration number (JK16/2675) collided with the speedy  Tempo traveller (bearing number JK02AQ/8863 ) at Benhama bypass near tehsil office resulting in injuries of Three Persons.

Sources said the injured were immediately rushed to Skims Soura for treatment where Ashiq Illahi Dar son of  Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Naseem Bagh Hazratbal succumbed to his injuries.

Police identified injured persons as Wasim Ahmad Akhoon son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Habak Srinagar and a tourist lady Elfha Ajay wife of Ajay resident of Mumbai. All the injured referred to Skims Soura and Bone and Joint hospital Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Meanwhile, police has registered a case under FIR no 86/18 us 279.337.427 and started an investigation.
