Opposition MLAs stages walkout over power crisis in Kashmir

National Conference Legislator Ali Mohammad Sagar on Monday Stage walkout From the Legislative Assembly over the Power Crisis in Kashmir Valley.

As the House assembled, Members stood up seeking a statement from the government in the matter.

However, as Speaker Kavinder Gupta went ahead with listed business during the Question hour, Sagar protests at least for ten minutes.

The Question Hour in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Tuesday remained disrupted for nearly ten minutes as Opposition members raised the issue of power crisis in Kashmir.

Sagar said, speaker, that “You are not allowed to members to speak” and adding that “We don’t know where from you get directions to curb our voice?.”

National Conference MLA Altaf Kaloo and Congress Legislator Usman Majeed also joined the issue, alleging that government failed to provide the electricity to Kashmir.

Later the members staged a walkout from the house.
