A group of over 470 stranded people from Kashmir left from Bhopal and Indore in Madhya Pradesh for Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday morning in eighteen buses.

Sources said they left in at least 18 buses on Sunday early morning after Jammu and Kashmir government along with Madhya Pradesh government facilitate them amid the coronavirus lockdown.

They said the screening of all the students was conducted before they were given e-passes for the journey.

The buses will ferry the students to Lakhanpur post on Punjab-J&K border in Kathua district, from where the administration of the Jammu and Kashmir will arrange their travel to their hometowns, said the sources.

Thousands of people of Kashmir are stranded in different parts of the country when the curfew was imposed in view of Covid-19 on March 23.
