Around seven thousand children under the age of five are being administered Pulse-Polio vaccine in Tangmarg area of District Baramulla on Sunday.
Tangmarg Sub-District Hospital officials said that nearly 80% of the target population will be administered with polio vaccine today in the area.
Public Health administration of the area has setup 68 booths specifically for pulse polio vaccination across different villages of the area.
“Those who miss the vaccination today will be administered in next two days in the door to door campaign,” they added.
For the smooth conduct of immunization programme a total number of 14 supervisors, and many other health workers including Anganwari, Asha, FMPHW workers and helpers have been assigned the duty. “During this period special attention will be paid to far flung areas,’’ the officials said.
